Concord Grape Wine
Ingredients
- 10lbs Concord grapes
- 5lbs sugar
- 1 tsp yeast nutrient
- 1 gallon water
- wine yeast
Pull grapes from stems. Put grapes into fermenter and crush. Dissolve sugar in boiling water and pour over mashed grapes. Let cool to room temperature. add yeast and nutrient, and let stand for 24 hours. Ferment for 2 weeks, stirring daily. Strain through strainer bag. pour into secondary fermentor, and let stand for 1 month. At the end of the month the wine should be clear. Rack and let stand for 2 months. At the end of this period the wine should be ready to bottle. Age for 6-8 months.
